About Hullabaloo/Halloweenabaloo:
SCM's Hullabaloo is the Silverlake Conservatory of Music’s annual fundraiser with proceeds used to provide free music scholarships and instruments as well as support for general operations. In 2008, over 220 low-income Los Angeles children whose families would otherwise not be able to afford quality music lessons benefited from the Conservatory's programs. The name "Hullabaloo" was chosen to signify the youthful enthusiasm heard emanating for the Conservatory's storefront location on Sunset Boulevard at Sunset Junction in the heart of Silver Lake.

About Silverlake Conservatory of Music:
SCM was born of the resolve of Flea and his long-time friend, and fellow musician, Keith Barry to fill the void left by cuts in the music education programs in the public schools. SCM's mission is to facilitate basic music education. Its primary focus is on the youth of the community but all are welcome and encouraged to participate. The Conservatory offers private music lessons at a reasonable cost and grants scholarships to children in need, providing free lessons and instruments. The study of music enriches not only the lives of the students but also that of the community and society as a whole. SCM’s eight lesson studios are filled with instruments, students, teachers, with instruction, discussion, laughter, inspiration and music, underscoring the value of music education for all.
